A new chapter for the Odyssey

I remember when I saw, on the shelf at Mappin (Famous department store from the 1980s in São Paulo – Brazil), the game Comando Noturno. That was back in 1988, maybe. What I didn’t know at the time was that that scene would come full circle. It would be the last time. The last time I would see an Odyssey game displayed, brand new, in a store. It would be the last time I would break the seal of a game by spreading that unmistakable scent into the air. Was it the last time?

For many of us, this platinum hero represents an era of full happiness, there were no everyday worries, pandemics and troubles. Sadness didn’t seem to surround us. Many memories remind us of the family, I remember my father coming in with that gigantic box, my mother waking me up with one: his father brought “tapes”, Smithereens games with my uncles and even my daughter bursting out laughing when the ducks “ shit” in the head of the shooter in the Clay Pigeon game.

We think we’re geniuses locking up the Drats or trying to hit the Attack Of The Timelord in the head at intervals between levels. Who has never resurrected a Pick Axe Pete, in possession of the key, falling directly into a door. We are part of the same story, a lone army, and that is exactly what makes us want more.

This project, which is a dream of all Odyssey fans, gains its newest chapter and our new games were presented, this last Saturday, November 20th, 2021, on Retrogamer Brasil Chanel. If you haven’t seen the news, take the opportunity to check them out on Live. Remember that Live is the verb to live. Alive, time is short. Long live the news, long live the community. Long live the Odyssey!!!
